DoiT named Visionary in 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for FinOps

Fri, 19th Sep 2025

DoiT has been recognised as a Visionary in the September 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Financial Management Tools.

The assessment by Gartner evaluated various companies' abilities to execute and completeness of vision in delivering tools and solutions for cloud financial management. DoiT's positioning was attributed to its Cloud Intelligence platform, which provides enterprises with FinOps solutions using automation, data analysis and artificial intelligence.

Cloud Intelligence platform

DoiT's Cloud Intelligence platform leverages FinOps 3.0 principles. Utilising workflow automation, comprehensive data ingestion and advanced AI insights, the platform is designed to respond to modern cloud challenges with context-aware and actionable solutions. According to the company, these capabilities serve to drive return on investment by delivering economic value at the unit level.

This year, DoiT completed two acquisitions intended to strengthen their platform. These included PerfectScale, a company specialising in self-optimising Kubernetes infrastructure, and Live Diagrams, which provides real-time architecture mapping solutions. Alongside these acquisitions, DoiT introduced new features on its platform such as DataHub, CloudFlow and Insights, which broaden the firm's service capabilities for clients managing cloud expenditure and operations.

Disruption in FinOps

The company has attributed its placement in the Magic Quadrant to what it considers a step-change in the way cloud financial management is approached within the sector. DoiT highlighted that the broader FinOps and CloudOps ecosystem has seen a stagnation in recent years, and emphasised the importance of their approach to overcoming these industry challenges.

"An intent-aware approach in the cloud financial management space is increasingly uncommon," said Vadim Solovey, CEO of DoiT. "In our view, DoiT's Visionary placement reflects our disruptive approach to FinOps 3.0, helping our customers to see through the 'Illusion of Efficiency.'"

The platform aims to connect cloud expenditure to specific organisational goals and workloads, and to move beyond surface-level metrics by identifying the underlying causes of inefficiency in cloud usage.

Gartner's report methodology

The Gartner Magic Quadrant is published annually, and segments vendors in selected markets into four categories: Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries and Niche Players. The evaluation criteria are based on providers' completeness of vision and ability to execute on strategy across specific market needs.

The research supporting the Magic Quadrant aims to provide enterprises with a comprehensive guide to help align business and technology priorities when choosing providers in high-growth markets. The methodology is recognised for its focus on fact-based analysis and market positioning.

Recent company activity

DoiT's activities in 2025 include the acquisitions of PerfectScale and Live Diagrams, both of which are expected to expand the platform's technical and operational capabilities. The company stated that its new features, which include DataHub, CloudFlow and Insights, are designed to increase transparency and optimise cloud financial management even further for clients working across AWS, Google Cloud and Azure.

DoiT's current platform provides full-stack telemetry and contextualised insights, with the aim of enabling organisations to optimise spending, identify the root causes of inefficiencies, and align technology spending with business outcomes. The platform also supports collaboration between financial and engineering teams for cloud optimisation processes.
