Caseware has announced changes to its executive leadership team to support its strategy in accounting technology.
The company's updated leadership team brings together expertise in software-as-a-service, artificial intelligence, and accounting technology, with a history of growing enterprise software businesses and focusing on customer value.
Chief Executive Officer David Marquis commented on the rationale for the leadership changes:
"Great companies evolve with purpose. Caseware is positioned for its next chapter of innovation and impact. Our platform and people are aligned to our vision to power trust in the global economy."
The adjustments to the leadership team have taken place over the calendar year, covering functions such as research and development, go-to-market activities, finance, and operations. Sam High will lead as Chief Technology Officer and Andrew Smith as Chief Product Officer, both having joined in the first quarter of 2025. Ericka Podesta McCoy has become Chief Marketing Officer, and Mike Jahoda joins as Chief Customer Success Officer, with both onboarding in the second quarter. In the third quarter, Chris Nagy will assume the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, while Jason Rushforth will become Chief Revenue Officer.
According to Caseware, the leadership group is focused on promoting artificial intelligence in ways that are aimed at raising audit quality, enhancing accounting workflow efficiencies, supporting auditor effectiveness, and enabling improved client service.
Alexander Johnson, Director at Hg, the company's majority investor, highlighted the team's significance:
"David has built a world-class team that positions Caseware to lead in AI and cloud innovation. This leadership foundation sets the stage for sustained growth, stronger customer outcomes and continued market leadership in accounting technology."
The company has expressed its appreciation for the contributions of outgoing executives, recognising their role in the company's recent transformation and their support during the transition period.
Caseware has indicated that its newly formed leadership foundation aims to further its mission as a preferred platform for accounting professionals, with a continued focus on efficiency and growth enabled by artificial intelligence solutions.
