Vistra has launched Vistra Latam, a business unit focused on supporting companies operating across Latin America, following its acquisition of Biz Latin Hub.

The new unit combines Vistra's existing regional presence with Biz Latin Hub's in-country teams and client base. It will provide legal, accounting, tax advisory, compliance, payroll and recruitment services across more than 18 Latin American markets, with support in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

The business is aimed at companies seeking a single regional provider while still needing local expertise in each country. Vistra highlighted the differing legal, tax, payroll and accounting requirements across Latin American jurisdictions, which can complicate expansion plans for international businesses.

The launch comes as Latin America draws growing interest from companies reassessing supply chains, nearshoring production and seeking access to regional talent. Businesses from the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific are among those looking to establish operations, build shared services functions or manage cross-border trade in the region.

According to Vistra, Vistra Latam will serve three main client groups: mid-sized US corporates entering Latin America, Latin American businesses establishing operations or hiring in the United States, and multinationals from Europe and Asia-Pacific seeking coordinated regional support.

The business builds on a relationship between Vistra and Biz Latin Hub that predates the acquisition. The combined footprint now covers 18 countries and connects regional delivery to Vistra's broader international network, including digital entity management and tax, accounting, compliance and multi-country payroll services.

Markets covered by the new unit include Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica and the Caribbean. Local teams across the region will deliver services in each jurisdiction.

Regional push

For Vistra, the move strengthens its position in a region where business conditions differ sharply from one market to the next. Companies expanding into Latin America often have to choose between separate local advisers in each country and a provider without broad enough regional coverage.

That challenge has become more pronounced as supply chain decisions shift and foreign direct investment targets markets closer to major consumer bases. The region has also attracted businesses looking for lower-cost operating locations, access to skilled workers and a base for wider expansion.

Raimundo Diaz outlined Vistra's view of those market dynamics.

"Latin America is strategically important for companies looking to expand, diversify supply chains, access talent and build cross-border operations. But the region is also highly complex, with requirements that vary significantly from market to market. Vistra has been active within the Latam region for the past decade via its experienced team at Vistra Brazil, delivering local expertise backed by the global standards and infrastructure of Vistra. This new venture will build on this success to deliver clients the regional coverage, local expertise and single-point accountability they need to operate with confidence across the region," said Raimundo Diaz, Executive Vice President, Americas at Vistra.

After acquisition

Biz Latin Hub had focused on professional services for companies entering and operating in Latin America and had worked with Vistra before the deal. Its integration into a dedicated regional unit suggests Vistra sees scope to organise those operations more directly around Latin American demand rather than solely through country-based offices.

Douglas Davis, who previously served as Group President of Biz Latin Hub and is now Senior Vice President at Vistra, said the launch marked the next stage of that process.

"This is a natural next step in our longstanding relationship with Vistra. Biz Latin Hub built its reputation as a trusted partner to companies expanding across Latin America, including many mid-sized and large U.S.-based enterprises. As Vistra Latam, we can now build on that momentum with greater scale, broader capabilities and deeper support for clients using Latin America as a key operational hub," said Davis.

Vistra employs more than 9,000 people across more than 50 markets globally. The creation of Vistra Latam adds a dedicated structure in a region where international companies are increasingly seeking coordinated legal, tax, payroll and compliance support across multiple jurisdictions.
